Best Christmas Ever

There he was with tears in his eyes and a smile on his face. My brother and I raced out of the car to give him a huge hug.
“Get in the car,” Mom shouted, “we have to go the jail.” I was about as confused as a polar bear in a jungle! “Do we have to,” I exclaimed, while my brother, Caleb, was sitting next to me thinking the same thing. “Yes, it is very important,” she told me.
When we got there, Mom announced she would be right back. She was holding a small, red folder that looked almost empty. The jail was small and looked very peculiar. The whole time we were there I was thinking of how I wanted to see my Dad for Christmas. I remembered when we used to cuddle and watch Christmas movies, while my brother would be going on and on and on about how he was going to catch Santa Clause. I wished that I would get to see him for just a few seconds.
Suddenly, Mom came out with my Dad behind her. I looked at him and he looked at me. I couldn’t believe it. I shouted ,”Dad,” while there were tears in his eyes and a smile on his face. My brother and I raced out of the car to give him a huge hug. My wish came true, but I didn’t just get to see him for a few seconds, but for a few days. I thank my Mom for the wonderful surprise.
I had been almost four years since I had seen my Dad so I had a lot to talk about.
Indeed, this was the best Christmas I have ever had. Although my Dad had to go back, I learned that even though someone in not with you, they will always be in your heart.

You

You,

You are smart,

You are bright,

You are beautiful,

You are imaginative,

You are unique,

Your are colorful,

You are sweet,

You are humble,

You are everything,

You are everything, but normal,

You are yourself.

Holocaust Reflections

While studying the Holocaust, one lesson I’ve learned is that you should not judge other people for what one person did. The fact that one Jew told Hitler he was not good enough at drawing caused him to hate every Jew. This is not right because none of the other Jews did anything to Hitler. That is why you should not judge other people for what one person did.

Another lesson I’ve learned was that you should always treat people fairly even in hard times. The Jews were treated unfairly just because Hitler didn’t like them. Not only if you were a Jew is you had brown hair you would be treated unfairly too. One time my brother’s friend got to come to my house, but for some reason I could not go to mine. I think that this was unfair. We need to treat people more fairly because you don’t know what will happen in the future.

Number of the Stars

Dear Diary,

It is late September in Denmark and Annemarie and I just had the most scariest moment EVER . I mean it was just a race nothing else.

It all started when Annemarie and I were practicing for the athletic meet on Friday. Annemarie said, “Ready?” I knew that she was going to beat me she always does. We were crossing the corner when two soldiers stopped us. I froze, standing there. A million questions floating around in my mind. What if they notice my dark hair? What if they take me away? I didn’t know what was going to happen.

The soldiers started to talk to Annemarie. They asked her a bunch of questions. One of the soldiers was one that we recognized. We called him Giraph because he had a very long neck. We just hoped that he didn’t know.

I don’t think that Annemarie knew how scared I was today. I hope that, that will never happen again.

Till next time ,

Jumanji

It was almost time,

kids rushing,

the call of numbers filled our ears,

it was almost time,

one present after another,

like there were thousands,

it was almost time,

sitting there like a black hole,

almost chosen,

the last one,

It was almost time,

there it was,

the movie,

laughter filled the room,

time after time,

four years in a row,

back and forth,

but now back to him,

our elephant game.

Savannah Shoots for the Stars

It was about a year ago meeting Tim like it was Yesterday.

All my life people have been telling me aliens aren’t real, especially my uncle Allen. He doesn’t believe what anyone says. So my Grandma Diana tells me to never listen to him.

That day my best friend Jade and I decided to go to Mars and see if aliens were real. My mom was worried to death, she couldn’t even speak. “What, Why, How?” she stuttered. “Mom it’s ok, I’ll be fine”, I spoke softly, “You know I have to do this. So she said, “Well remember what your grandma tells you, never let others take you down, but let it be an opportunity.

When we got there we didn’t see anyone or anything. It was like a classroom on Spring break. Then, there is was. An alien! He was very short, only had four fingers, and he was lime green. He was standing behind our ship, but he wouldn’t come out. Then he suddenly walked out very slowly.

He said, “Hi I’m Tim, I can tell you guys aren’t from around here. Are you having troubles getting home?” We shook our heads, “No!” “Then why are you here?” he said very confused. “Because” we said grinning from ear to ear, “of you”.

When we got back home we made groundbreaking history. We became so popular that we couldn’t even go outside for two seconds without a stampede of people coming after us. Besides from all the fame and glory I will always remember Tim’s beautiful smile.

2014 and 2015

I got to go  on my very first plane ride. My parents and family in Utah put something together so me and my brother Caleb could go see them. When we got to the Air Port in Dallas I was amazed that it was so big. It was so big that we got lost three times! When we got checked in and got our tickets we sat down and watched the big white plane get set up. When my brother and I walked in to the plane it was very scary not having our parents there. When the plane took off it made me have butterflies in my stomach. It felt like you where in a big bubble. When we went on turns it was like you where sideways. My favorite was the landing. I liked it when you crash down and you bounce back up just like you where on a bus going on a bump. That was the funnest thing I did in 2014.

My goal for 2015 is to earn $200.00. I want to earn $200.00 so I can get myself a phone. I am going to do chores around the house and help my Noni and Aunt clean their house. I will probably do bake sales and during the Summer do lemonade stands. I already have about $150.00 so I think it won’t be very easy. I hope that I can earn $200.00 by the time the year is over.
